Frequently asked questions

If you don’t opt-in to receive surveys via text message, you will continue to receive six or more long-form surveys by email each year. However, you will not receive the pilot short-form, text message-based survey or any future text message-based surveys.
Currently, we are piloting one short-form text message-based survey to determine effectiveness and understand the panelist experience. Assuming a successful pilot, we hope to distribute approximately four surveys via text message each year in addition to long-form surveys delivered by email.
After completing the consent form, you will receive a text message asking you to confirm your consent to receive text messages from the IU Panel. We do this to ensure we are reaching the correct person and that they want to hear from us.
