Alumni Communities FAQs
To share best practices, strengthen the connections of our alumni leader community, and learn about the ways volunteers impact the lives of our alumni, students, and friends. This is also a time to celebrate our past successes.
The ‘Coffee and Conversations’ session offers a dynamic forum for alumni volunteers to connect, share insights, and explore innovative engagement strategies. High-top tables will be adorned with potential discussion topics, but the direction you take when connecting with others is up to you! Consider this an opportunity to share ideas, exchange practical tools, refine collaborative techniques, and discover digital strategies for strengthening relationships within alumni communities.
The community service project is designed to provide a tangible opportunity for alumni volunteers to give back to the Indianapolis community, demonstrating the IU Alumni Association’s commitment IU’s 2030 pillar of “Service to the State and Beyond.” By participating, you'll contribute directly to Horizon House and help to their mission that supports the Indianapolis neighbors experiencing homelessness with integrated, comprehensive services so they can secure and maintain housing. This IUAA service project also fosters teamwork and camaraderie among volunteers, strengthening our network while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
